Tomorrow's the Curvy Girl Conference!!!

Hi there!
If you follow any of my social media, you'll have already seen that I'm taking part in the Curvy Girl Conference as part of the Beauty Panel. This is the first time there has been a conference specifically for plus size ladies in the Midwest, and I'm super excited to take part!

This afternoon, Natasha (the conference organizer), threw a little party for those coming to the event at the Eloquii store on Michigan Ave. So, I took the opportunity to not only meet some of the fab ladies that will be taking part in the conference tomorrow, but also to SHOP. Because I needed something to wear to the conference!!!

Eloquii is one of my favorite brands - so many awesome, fashion forward pieces. But, it's also dangerous, because there are so many awesome, fashion forward pieces!!!

I tried on a billion things. I still don't know exactly what I'm going to wear tomorrow, but here are some of the options I came up with:

Which would you choose???  I guess we'll all be surprised when I get my next post up, right??? HaHa!

After I left he party, I Uber'd over to my kids school, which wasn't far away, and drove home with my fam.

After we picked up #3 from pre-school, we took them miniature golfing for the first time! Today's weather was BANANAS!!! We HAD to take advantage of an 80 degree day in October!

She was having fun, I swear, but when I snapped this I couldn't help but LOL!
By the 8th whole, they were kind of over it, but we still have a lot of family fun. So glad we went!

Be sure to check back for details on which outfit I chose and to hear all about the Curvy Girl Conference!!!

Until next time!

xoxo

Hi there!
Last weekend I had the honor of being the officiant of my younger brother and sister-in-law's 10 year vow renewal ceremony!

I was really nervous, but I think I pulled it off pretty decently.

I got ordained by Universal Life Church. This wasn't necessary since a vow renewals isn't a legal ceremony, but I did it anyway, just for fun. Actually, I'd been ordained before, but I lost my paperwork so I just decided to re-do it.

Here are a few snapshots from the day! I can't wait to see the professional photos from Teresa Dalbera Photography!
The party was at a place called Church Street Brewery. How fun to have a party there?! It was super fun and very relaxed. Everyone had a great time!
Aren't they so cute?!?!
I'm wearing Pat McGrath LuxeTrance lipstick in Wrecked. It's pretty amazing. SO pigmented!!! But it will stain your lips. It's hard to get off for sure.
I wore this fabulous dress from Eloquii. I felt so judicial - I thought the caped sleeves were perfect for the occasion. What's funny is I didn't buy this dress for this occasion - I already had it! Good thing I buy random shit all the time, right?!?! It saves me a lot of trouble a lot :)

The dress is 40% off! Get to shopping now!

Until next time,

xoxo

Is This $5 Mascara Worth It? Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara Review

Hi there!
I honestly can't remember where I saw this product, but the headline was something like "People are going crazy for this $4 mascara!" Or something like that. So of course I had to buy it, right???

So, I found this Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect Mascara on Amazon for $4.99. For that price, I bought 2. And here are my results.
No Mascara
Only my right eye done with Essence Lash Princess Mascara
Both eyes done with Essence Lash Princess Mascara
Both eyes with 2 coats of Essence Lash Princess Mascara

So - do I like it? Actually I do! The formula is thick and the brush is firm and it's easy to get the product into the lashes. It's super black and I love how it makes my lower lashes pop.

I wear false lashes almost every day, but this will do on an off day! And for $5, how can you really say no???

If you try it, let me know what you think!

Until next time,

xoxo

Evereve at the Planetarium

  Hi there!
Today I spent the day with my 7 year old niece and my 3 year old son having some good fun!

It's Columbus Day, so they were off school. My other 2 kids don't get the day off - they go to private school and they get a lot of other random days off.

We went out for a quick breakfast then headed downtown to the Adler Planetarium. The kids played in the play area, we saw a movie that was a simulation of a rocket into outer space - the kids loved that one. We made stomp rockets. It was a good time.

I actually didn't even tell my oldest that my niece was coming to spend the day with me because he would have been really upset that he couldn't spend the day with her. But I did bring her to pick him up from school and he was super surprised and happy to see her when he walked outside. I took my #2 to her piano lesson while the other kids sat with my dad for 30 minutes and we had dinner at Red Robin before I drove her home. I got a text that she said she had a great day and that makes me happy!
I wore this cute blush pink tee from Zara. I've only recently begun venturing into Zara, and I've discovered that there are things in there that will fit me. This tee is a size large! I bought 2.
My jacket and jeans are from Evereve.  BTW - have you entered the $500 giveaway that I told you about?!?!?! It ends soon so ENTER NOW!!! It's super easy!
Until next time,

xoxo

You Need To Try SYLTBAR!

Hi there!
So, really. I never thought in a million years I'd ever write a post about alcohol. I honestly JUST started drinking!!!

I never used to drink. Ever. I hated the taste of alcohol and I hated being around anyone who was consuming it.

But.

Now I have 3 kids and I've loosened up a bit, and have realized that a little drink every now and again is a good way to relax and be a little silly.

So I was excited to be invited to the blind taste testing hosted by SYLTBAR (pronounced Zut-Bar - it's German) at Carmine's Restaurant downtown. My Sister-In-Law, Teka, came with me because she really knows a lot about alcohol and I know nothing!
I'd never done a blind taste test before.
They had two bottles wrapped in black napkins and poured us a small glass of each. We were to taste each glass and write down our thoughts on flavor and overall liking of each glass. Then we had to choose which one we liked best.

Of the group below, only 1 person chose Option B. All of the rest, including me, chose Option A.
Option A was SYLTBAR. Option B was Veuve Cliquot.

And I was kind of shocked! Because Veuve is a brand that everyone knows - even me and I hardly drink!
The SYLTBAR Reps, Regina and Kathrin, then gave us a PowerPoint presentation about SYLTBAR and what makes it different from other brands of Prosecco.

The way SYLTBAR is bottled is different. Instead of being fermented in bottles like Veuve, it is processed in steel barrels for 4 months, which makes it a lot more bubbly. The bubbles were one of the reasons I chose Option A over Option B.
SYLTBAR has the lowest amount of sugar and the least amount of calories when compared to other popular brands. The sugar content in SYLTBAR low enough for some diabetics to drink, which is kind of crazy.
I enjoyed several glasses of SYLTBAR while we were at Carmine's, and I didn't feel tipsy at all! And I'm a LIGHTWEIGHT!!! Give me a few sips of vodka and I can't turn my head without feeling dizzy. But this was an enjoyable, cold, bubbly, tasty drink and I really enjoyed it!

The event was really nice. Carmine's is such a great location and they served us some delicious bites to enjoy with our Prosecco. These meatballs were DIVINE!
Everyone went home with a bottle of SYLTBAR and me and a few of my friends drank mine a few days later. Everyone really liked it!!!

Probably the biggest bonus of SYLTBAR is the price - $20/bottle!!! Can't really beat that!

I definitely recommend this prosecco if you're looking for something new to try! You can try it out at THESE restaurants around the country and you can even buy it ONLINE.

Check it out! You will like it, I promise!

Until next time,

xoxo
