Glam Mom Car Kit Makeup Method

Hi there!

If you know me, you know I love my makeup!  I try not to be seen without it lately.  Not because I need it, but because I like it!  It makes me feel happy.  And, since I spend 99.9% of my day doing things for other people, I like to take a few minutes to do something for myself.

BUT, ain't nobody got time to be in the bathroom putting on a full face of makeup every day when you have little people relying on you.  I can make it happen some days, but most of the time, time is far too short and we are already notoriously late for everything.  So, I leave a makeup bag in my car!  (I used to leave it in my purse or diaper bag, but then I'd get tempted to take stuff out and forget to put it back and then, womp womp, no eyebrows that day!)

My minivan has this fun little compartment that I've taken over for all things makeup.

That bag is so full, it won't close anymore.
There are some things in there I don't use regularly,
but I just like to have on hand.

I always apply a BB Cream over my moisturizer in the morning, so no need for foundation.  I also try to conceal and powder before I leave home, but just in case that doesn't happen, I have backups in the car.  I keep everything else basic.

These are my regulars:

Left to Right:
(Top Left) Anastasia Beverly Hills DipBrow Pomade in Dark Brown
(Bottom Left) Younique Moodstruck 3D+ Mascara (it's a 2-part product)
Maybelline Master Graphic Liquid Liner in Striking Black
(Top) MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Blush in Band of Roses
(Bottom) Cover Gril truMagic Liminizer #120
(Top) Revon Colorstay Pressed Powder in Translucent
(Bottom) FACEatelier Ultra Bronzer in #3 - Brushed Sable
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in Medium/Dark2 - Caramel
Younique Lash Comb/Brow Comm
EcoTools Blush Brush
Crown Brush Brow Duo
Crown Brush Powder Dome
Crown Brush Foundation Brush (small size)

To some, this might seem like a lot.  But trust me, it could be SO MUCH MORE! LOL!  And I've chosen these products because they all go on fairly quick.  I apply the products at stoplights as fast as I can.  If I'm not done when I arrive at my destination, then I'll finish before I get out of the car.  My kids are used to waiting 2 extra minutes while I apply my mascara :)  No big deal!

Now, I know there will be some moms who'll get their panties in a bunch over the fact that I wear makeup every day.  I'm not saying YOU have to.  But, I like to, so I've found a way to work it into my life.  So, if you're a mama who likes to wear makeup and have been struggling to find a second in your day to get it on your gorgeous face, maybe consider the Glam Mom Car Kit method!

If you have any questions, post them below! And, if you'd like to see a video on how I make this work, let me know!

Until next time,

Shopping Cart Sensitivity

You know those giant red carts at Target - the ones that seat 3 kids and are really hard to come by???  Well, they are coveted by moms with more than one child. Like, we NEED those carts.  I have actually driven to Target with my kids, only to not see one in a corral in the parking lot, and leave.  It's SO HARD to get through a trip to any store when you have children.  Not having a seat for all the kids makes things infinitely more difficult.

I follow a group of moms on Facebook who all have children less than 2 years apart (I have 3 children, all about 18 months apart).  I've seen this issue vented about SO MANY TIMES in that group - Moms who only have one child using the carts that are meant for 3 kids.

Listen, I know the carts are fun for kids!  Something different.  But for moms like myself who have to shop with 3 kids (3 years old and under), we NEEEEEEEEEED those carts.  It's the only way to get through it!  I'm just putting this out there because I'm not sure parents are even aware that this would be an issue. But THE STRUGGLE IS REAL!!!

So moms, if you're shopping with only one kid, can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE leave those carts for the moms who have to shop with multiples? Pretty please??? You'll be saving us lots of stress (and possibly tears).

(Because I know this is an issue, soon I will be testing out a solution.  Be on the lookout!)
